What is DeepVerify?
DeepVerify is Factagora’s Chrome extension for fact-checking content in real time as you browse: highlight a claim, scan a whole page, check a YouTube video against its captions, or follow a live conversation, without leaving the tab.Installation

Install the extension
Get DeepVerify from the Chrome Web Store.

Sign in
Click the DeepVerify icon in your browser toolbar and sign in with your Factagora account. Checking requires an account.

Run your first check
Open an article, press Alt + F to open the side panel, and press Check this page. Claims appear one at a time with their verdicts.
How it works
DeepVerify splits what it does into three steps, and every mode follows the same three.1
Find the claims
Text is read from the page, the video’s captions, or live speech, and the statements that can actually be checked are pulled out. Opinions and questions are left alone.

Check each one
Each claim is verified against sources and gets a verdict, a confidence score, and the documents used to reach it.

Score the whole thing
The individual verdicts roll up into a Trust Score for the page or video, mapped to one of five reliability tiers.
The side panel
Everything lives in the side panel, reached with the toolbar icon or Alt + F. The icon rail on the right switches between:What DeepVerify reads
DeepVerify does not read every page you visit. It reads a page’s text only where you have turned on automatic checking. With automatic checking off, it only looks at the sentences you select yourself. On sensitive sites such as internal documents or account pages, pause the extension from the toolbar icon. Microphone and tab audio are captured only while a Live session is running, and only after you grant the browser permission the first time.Requirements

- Active internet connection
- For YouTube: the video must have captions, since checking works from the transcript
