# Settings

> Every DeepVerify setting, what it does, and its default

Open **Settings** from the bottom of the icon rail in the side panel.

## Account

| Setting              | Description                                                               |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Log in / Log out** | Your Factagora account. DeepVerify needs you signed in to check anything. |
| **Product emails**   | Occasional updates and tips. Off by default.                              |

## Appearance

| Setting       | Description                            | Default             |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------- | ------------------- |
| **Dark Mode** | Dark theme for the side panel          | Follows your system |
| **Language**  | Side panel language, English or Korean | English             |

## Behavior

| Setting                | Description                                               | Default |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- | ------- |
| **Floating Button**    | Show a DeepVerify button next to text you select          | On      |
| **Auto-detect Claims** | Highlight claims as you browse, without pressing anything | **Off** |
| **Page preview**       | Show a preview card for the current page before checking  | On      |

## YouTube

| Setting                     | Description                                       | Default |
| --------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | ------- |
| **YouTube Auto-Verify**     | Start checking a video as soon as you open it     | **Off** |
| **YouTube Fact-Check Card** | Show the result card in the page, below the video | On      |

## Keyboard shortcuts

Listed in Settings for reference. To change them, go to `chrome://extensions/shortcuts`.

| Shortcut                      | Action                                       |
| ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>F</kbd> | Open or close the side panel                 |
| <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>D</kbd> | Run DeepVerify on the selected text          |
| <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>T</kbd> | Start capturing tab audio for a Live session |

  **Auto-detect Claims** and **YouTube Auto-Verify** are the two settings that change DeepVerify from something you invoke into something that runs on its own. Both are off until you turn them on — see [Automation](/guides/deepverify/automation).
