# FAQ

> Account, billing, privacy, and how far to trust a verdict.

## Account

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Do I need an account to use DeepVerify?">
    Yes. After installing, sign in with your Factagora account. The free plan starts without a card.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How is factagora.ai different from DeepVerify?">
    factagora.ai is the platform where claims are collected and settled against sources. DeepVerify is the extension that runs those checks on the screen you are already looking at.

    When a verdict comes back Uncertain, or you think it is wrong, you can post the claim from DeepVerify to factagora.ai for a deeper check.

## Billing

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How far does the free plan get me?">
    3 documents a day and 20 a month, with 5 auto-verified claims per document. Live audio is not included and your history stays in your own browser. See [Pricing](/guides/deepverify/pricing) for the full comparison.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What counts as a document?">
    One URL is one document, whether that is a web page, a YouTube video, or a Live session. Opening the same page again does not count against your quota a second time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens when I hit my limit?">
    Your daily limit resets every day and your monthly limit refills on your next billing cycle. If you would rather not wait, move up a plan.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="After the first free month, does it charge automatically?">
    Yes. Billing starts once the first month ends, and you can cancel at any time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?">
    Yes. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I use it with a team?">
    Not yet. To hear first when team plans arrive, join the [Discord](https://discord.gg/BFRCETaMT).
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Privacy

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Does DeepVerify read every page I visit?">
    No. It reads a page's text only where you have turned on automatic checking. With automatic checking off, it only looks at the sentences you select yourself. On sensitive sites, pause the extension from the toolbar icon. See [What DeepVerify reads](/guides/deepverify/overview).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does it need microphone and tab audio permissions?">
    Only for [Live audio](/guides/deepverify/modes/live-audio). You grant the browser permission yourself the first time, and audio is captured only while that feature is running.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where is my verification history stored, and can I delete it?">
    In the extension's [History](/guides/deepverify/history) panel and, on paid plans, on your account so it follows you across devices. You can delete any entry at any time, and only you can see it.

## Verdicts

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How can I trust the verdicts?">
    DeepVerify draws on academic databases, established news organizations, government and regulatory sources, and peer-reviewed journals. Each claim is classified as Verified, False, or Uncertain with a confidence score, and every result links back to the sources actually used so you can check the evidence yourself.

    For nuanced or fast-moving topics, especially decisions with real financial or reputational stakes, treat a verdict as a strong starting point rather than the final word. [Understanding results](/guides/deepverify/understanding-results) explains how to read one.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What about breaking events that aren't settled yet?">
    When the evidence is not sufficient, a claim is marked Uncertain rather than true or false. To follow whether it gets resolved, post it on factagora.ai.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What if I think a verdict is wrong?">
    Post that claim to factagora.ai to have it checked again. You can post it straight from the verdict card.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What content can I verify?">
    Web pages, YouTube videos with captions (both uploads and live streams), text you highlight yourself, and live audio from your microphone or the current tab. See [Ways to check](/guides/deepverify/modes/web-pages).
